POETIC and The Artist Outreach are among the Stand Together Foundation’s 15 new partnerships that aim to break the cycle of poverty in the United States.
The 2019 Maura Award Recipients are Dee Dee Bates, New York Life; Sally Dunning, The Design Studio; Ana I. Hernandez, PlainsCapital Bank; Ashlee Kleinert, Ruthie’s Rolling Café; and Nicole Small, LH Capital Inc. and Lyda Hill Philanthropies. Our 2019 Young Leader Award Recipients are Dr. HaeSung Han, POETIC and Ana I. Rodriguez, SMU Cox Latino Leadership Initiative.
After participating in a week-long voting process and live pitch competition, the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas named its winning organizations on Tuesday as part of its annual Social Innovation Accelerator.
POETIC, which provides trauma therapy and support services to girls who have experienced sex trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, or child maltreatment, received the top title of Social Innovator of the Year, along with $75,000.
